Elder Carl A. Pierce Sr. is the senior pastor of Carter Memorial Church Of God In Christ. A graduate of the University of Houston, Elder Pierce formally entered the ministry in 1984 and was ordained in 1989. He has led the ministry of Carter Memorial to exceptional growth during his 19 years, serving as assistant pastor and later as senior pastor. In 2013, part of Elder Pierce’s vision for Carter Memorial was manifested when the church acquired a new campus, which serves as a ministry headquarters that houses many programs and services for the community.

Elder Pierce is an anointed gospel preacher and praise and worship leader. He is also a gifted workshop clinician and instructor, often called upon to conduct workshops across the country.

He serves in numerous capacities in the community and works diligently in the Church Of God In Christ, Inc., both on the national and jurisdictional levels. Elder Pierce is Administrative Assistant of Ministry and the Chairman of Auxiliaries In Ministry (AIM) for Greater Maryland First Jurisdiction. He is also an Advisory Committee member of the General Assembly, a member of the National Elections Commission and Vice Chairman of the International AIM Convention.

He shares his accomplishments, dreams and vision with his wife, Kandace; his daughter,Tiffany, and his son, Carl II.
